A life of craftsmanship and a passion for detail…

I started working wood at 7 years old. I studied woodcarving which lead to furniture building which eventually lead my own cabinet making business. Through the experience of designing and crafting custom cabinetry, I learned how to build almost anything out of wood using many different types of finish material.

I built my first guitar when I was 17 years old. I did not realize that it would be about 30 years later before building my second. In 2004, I started Howard Guitars so that I could share these beautiful instruments with others. As much as I enjoyed the furniture and cabinet making business, there is something about a hand crafted instrument that brings joy to all that come in contact with it. An instrument can affect thousands of people in its lifetime.

It is my desire to share my God given talent to create these instruments as tools for other musicians, and I thank you for taking the time to visit this website.
